Bucherer Silver Marcasite Mechanical Watch Brooch

Price
$300
A fabulous 1930's era Bucherer watch brooch. The piece is made from 800 silver (the back of the brooch is stamped). It has marcasite stones and green slabs on the side. This is so amazing and has the original box. The piece is 2.5 inches long. The watch is mechanical and doesn't appear to be working but it might just need to be serviced. Otherwise in good condition.

About Us

"It's only a time for us all."

Haus of Mourning is inspired by the sentimental nature of the Victorian era, cemeteries, dark music and ghost stories. Combining antique, repurposed and original jewelry with clothing and accessories is our expression of a Gothic lifestyle.

Isabelle Krombholz Baron (aka Isabelle Helle) launched Haus of Mourning in 2022 in an effort to combine her work, hobbies and interests. Working in her family business, Krombholz Jewelers, gave her knowledge and hands-on experience with antique and vintage jewelry. Her vision of a sophisticated goth lifestyle store was brought to life with the combination of antique, vintage, repurposed and upcycled jewelry, clothing and home décor.

Izzi has always been inspired by music, specifically goth, punk and rock n' roll. She plays guitar and sings in Isabelle Helle & The Hell's Bells and plays drums in Black Planet and The Dolly Daredevils. When she isn't working on Haus of Mourning, she spends her time playing music and attending shows. Izzi also spent time as a journalist creating and running the magazine and blog, Women in Rock, for 10 years.

Dennis Baron brings a reverence for traditional dark athletics as he helps guide the evolution of Haus of Mourning.  An enigmatic figure in the London & NYC creative and hospitality industries since the early 2000s, Dennis now resides in Cincinnati at the Haus of Mourning HQ with his wife Izzi, as the Chief Disruptor and photographer for HOM.

After meeting Izzi over a jukebox selection of the Gun Club, the two have taken on the world together. Now, the primary image maker for HOM, Dennis assisted many of London's top photographers before beginning his career based primarily in music and fashion photography.  After relocating to NYC, Dennis established two of the Lower East Side's most celebrated venues of the period.  The Darkroom and The Annex became central to the burgeoning music scene of the time and became the regular haunts for creatives and musicians from around the world.  In one of the twists and turns of life, Dennis began working in the stadium security world and is now entering his 5th season with the Cincinnati Bengals as the Regional Director of Security.

Shopping at Haus of Mourning is available to you any hour of the day at our online store or by appointment at Krombholz Jewelers in Cincinnati, Ohio. We also offer wholesale trunkshows to retailers. Please reach out with inquiries: hausofmourning@gmail.com.
